Skate of Mind

National

Skate of Mind is a grassroots, national touring collective of skaters, filmmakers, photographers, and artists. We run community engagement events, workshops, music, art, digital art, projection, and soundscape design in regional communities.

Partnering with renowned skate culture brands Totem and Build-Up, the Skate of Mind team will connect with regional young people through skateboarding, art and music. Promoting skateparks as safe places for connection and expression for the whole community.

Exciting changes are coming in 2026 as Skate of Mind invests in our important industry partnerships across regional Australia.

What's On

PK DIY Skate Jam

Port Kembla, NSW

Totem Skateboarding and Big hART are kicking off a full year of FREE Community Skateboarding events in the Port Kembla area and starting it the right way!
The first event includes an afternoon of SHRED’in, followed by the PK DIY Doco on how it all began. Add tunes by @catmancatmannn and Kurtell live at @theservo after the Jam and you’ve got a proper community shindig.
Proudly funded by @bighart_online Skate of Mind project, this support backs the local skate scene, musicians and change-makers, celebrating the DIY spirit that’s alive and well in PK.
At 5PM we take over the @theservo.pk , with live music and the launch of the PK DIY Documentary!
Created by Matt Loft from Lofty Studios, the film dives into the real journey. The early builds. The pressure. The hustle to keep it alive. The wins and losses. And what happens when a community refuses to let DIY culture be scrapped.
We’re also celebrating the weekly FREE Female-Focused After School Sessions run by @felicity_turner , with a FREE Female Mentoring Session and Female Jam giving the next gen a platform to step up.
